I really love this commercial for Final Fantasy XIII, even though it contains a joke people would understand in The Netherlands (The West) I don’t believe I will ever see something similar here on the Dutch television.
Why? Because unfortunately videogames (and animation) is still seen as entertainment for little children by most adults here in The Netherlands. Unfortunately I don’t have any statistic evidence to back this up *sighs*
I guess thats why I was very surpised to see this Japanese commercial for Final Fantasy XIII. Teachers have an important role in society. Especially teachers at elementary school who teach little children. Suggesting a teacher takes some time of from work to play videogames could be a bit ‘shocking’ for some. I really like the guts of the creators of this commercial.
In feature posts I will try to go into more stereotypes related to videogames and hopefully list some interesting (scientific) articles with more background info for the fans.
