Breakfast

It’s the first meal you have on the day and also defines the rest of your day. If I don’t get a good breakfast I can’t function normally. Ok … I can function, but after a good breakfast I feel much more energetic. Not so long ago I decided to change my breakfast routine.
I actually decided to return to a breakfast routine similar to the one I had when I still lived together with a fellow uni student in Leiden. I used to eat Kellog’s All-Bran cereal together with soy milk and I loved it. I always have a hard time eating ‘bread’ in the morning and ‘breakfast drinks’ really don’t work at all. But instead of going back to the very same breakfast. I decided to try out the Dorset Cereals and I just fell in love with this brand. I’m currently at the bottom of my 2nd box of cereals and the 3rd is already waiting for me in my cupboard. I love to combine them with warm rice milk ~
I’m trying different flavours with every box which is a lot of fun. Unfortunately there is only one store that sells the brand here in The Netherlands. I picked them up at my local AH XL which is a larger store version of the regular Albert Heijn supermarkets. I really hope they will continue selling this product.
Not so long ago I also discovered the truly yummie fruit smoothies from Innocent Drinks. I’m not a fan of softdrinks, but I do like fruity drinks and smoothies. I really like that there’s only fruit in there and no additives or anything. I first picked up a bottle of Innocent Drinks at the ‘AH to go’ at Amsterdam Central Station. My favorite flavour is pineapples, bananas & coconuts (below).
