If you like to check out YouTube, but are also interested in watching footage that helps intelligent, engaged audiences get smart – you should definitely check out FORA.tv !
FORA.tv was founded in 2005. It gathers the web’s largest collection of unmediated video drawn from live events, lectures, and debates going on all the time at the world’s top universities, think tanks and conferences. Covering a wide range of topics such as economy, technology, culture and environment. If you are a student with academic interest or just someone who wants to get much more background information, I believe FORA.tv is a good place to check out.
What I like about FORA.tv is that it’s so easy to access and the super informative footage. I always get excited when finding a clip with a topic that I find interesting and actually learn more when I watch it.

As a blogger who still writes in a casual manner about videogames I am very interested in video game journalism. FORA.tv has a very interesting clip of a discussion about video game journalism during D.I.C.E. Summit in 2009. You can watch it below or check it out on the website.

Game journalism: Who cares? I do. This was an interesting video to watch. When the whole Sims 3/ SecuRom scandal broke out it, I’m sure it was closely monitored by game journalists.

Hmm yeah I never really thought about the pressure of the videogame industry on the journalists. Things like demanding good ratings or else the ‘relationship’ between a publisher and journalist (magazine/website) will go sour.
