In last week’s #MusicMonday blogpost I shared a song by Robyn. In the post I mentioned I loved Robyn’s soft voice compared to the edgy sound of La Roux. After that I just had to share a track by ‘La Roux’ in today’s #MusicMonday blogpost! I first heard of this British electropop duo via my sister who sometimes definitely has a talent to pick out interesting (new) tracks.
Bulletproof
The first single ‘La Roux’ released in 2009 was Bulletproof. I immediately fell in love with the electropop sound, but was also intruiged by singer Elleanor Jackson’s voice. At first I didn’t like the sound of her voice – at all :P But the somewhat uneasy sound felt also fresh & edgy. I still can’t listen to her voice 24/7, but in the end I can appreciate the ‘La Roux’ sound ~
