The Battle at Ostagar
Anaïs is the only survivor of The Joining ritual and is officially a Grey Warden. She doesn’t get much time to think about the dragon in her vision or the deaths of the other two charges. Duncan asks Anaïs to go attend an important meeting with King Cailan. At the meeting the king wants to go over the strategy to fight the Darkspawn together with his advisor Loghain and the Grey Wardens. Other than King Cailan, Loghain does not want to wait for the help from Orlais. The king decides to launch a frontal attack and Loghain will attack from the side as soon as he receives the signal.

To help co-ordinate the attack Anaïs and Alistair are send to the Tower of Ishal to lit the beacon and give the signal to Loghain and his men. Alistair is disappointed he won’t be able to fight next to Duncan, but Duncan tells him it was a direct request from the king. Even though Alistair is not happy about it, he listens to Duncan and heads to the tower together with Anaïs.
When they reach the tower the two learn the tower has been taken by Darkspawn! They have to clear the tower before they can lit the beacon. Will they be in time to give the signal to Loghain? In the meantime King Cailan and Duncan prepare to face the Darkspawn horde in a frontal attack…
It seems all is lost… is this really the end?
