The Journey Begins
All seems lost after The Battle at Ostagar. The king’s advisor Loghain turns out to be a traitor, both King Cailan as Duncan have perished in the fight and it seems Anaïs received the same faith. But the darkness that overcame her at the Tower of Ishal will not be the end as Anaïs slowly opens her eyes…

As Anaïs opens her eyes she is greeted by Morrigan and finds herself in the hut of Flemeth! Morrigan tells her it was Flemeth who saved Anaïs and her friend and that Flemeth wishes to speak with her. Outside the hut Alistair is waiting for Anaïs. He is still in shock about what happened at Ostagar and he can’t believe Duncan is dead. It seems Alistair and Anaïs are the two only remaning Grey Wardens left in whole Ferelden. Will they be able to stop The Blight?

Flemeth tells the two Grey Wardens that The Blight is still a threat. She saved both Alistair and Anaïs so they could stop it and tells them they could use the treaties with the Magi, the Dwarves and the Elves to build a new army and put an end to The Blight. Anaïs and Alistair agree with Flemeth and decide to start a new journey. A journey to save Ferelden by asking their old allies for help. Flemeth is pleased to hear this and tells her daughter Morrigan to travel together with the Grey Wardens. Morrigan suggests they visit Lothering first, a small outpost where they will be able to hear the latest news and stock up on goods.

When the three companions reach Lothering they bump into a group of bandits. It seems they are preying upon the refugees who are fleeing from the Darkspawn. Anaïs isn’t afraid to teach them a lesson. Even though clearing the road from bandits is a good thing, the group should keep a low profile. Now that Loghain has named himself Regent of Ferelden the Grey Wardens are blamed for the death of King Cailan! Next to that Morrigan uses magic without being connected to the Circle of Magi which makes her a target for Templar Knights!

Against all odds Alistair and Anaïs meet two new travel companions who will join them on their journey to save Ferelden. At the local bar in Lothering they bump into a few of Loghain’s men and receive help from Leliana. This Sister of The Chantry says she had a vision, a message from The Maker. She must help the Grey Wardens to end The Blight. Next to Leliana they also meet Sten an imprisoned Qunari warrior. Even though he is imprisoned because he has killed an entire family Alistair says he might come in handy in their battle against the Darkspawn. Leliana receives permission from the Revered Mother of the Chantry in Lothering to free Sten and let him join the group.
Anaïs is just at the start of her new journey and already found companions who will aid her on her quest to save Ferelden. It is time to use the treaties and ask their old allies for help. After Lothering the group will travel to the Circle Tower at Lake Calenhad to ask for the help of the mages!
