Broken Circle
After meeting new travel companions in Lothering, Anaïs decides to travel to Lake Calenhad Docks. She hopes to be able to get a boatride to the Circle Tower and ask the mages for help in the fight against the Darkspawn. But as they reach the docks, the group is blocked by a Templar Knight.
Upon entering the Circle Tower the group learns there is something terribly wrong. The Templar Knights have locked the doors, trapping the mages inside. It seems blood mages have taken over controll over the tower and terrible abominations have started to appear! The Templar Knights might need to kill all mages left inside, but before they receive clearance to do so Anaïs wants to see if they can rescue anyone. To get the help of the mages Anaïs needs to talk to the First Enchanter who is also locked up in the tower somewhere.

The group receives permission of Greagoir to enter the Circle Tower and see if they can stop the abominations and demons that have overrun the tower. As soon as the doors are locked behind their backs the group runs into Wynne, a powerful mage who was also present in Ostagar. At first she thinks Anaïs has come to kill all the mages, but is happy to accept help when she hears Anaïs has come to rescue the mages.

Wynne has set up a protection barrier to make sure no abomination will leave the tower. But to get to the core of the problem the group needs to pass through the magical barrier. There is no other option and Anaïs leads the group further into the tower. The place seems to be abandoned, but there are still blood mages and abominations around. It soon becomes clear that a powerful Sloth Demon has taken controll over the tower!

The Sloth Demon casts the group into The Fade by putting them to sleep. People enter The Fade when they dream, Mages tap into The Fade when they cast spells… but it is also a place where spirits live. When the veil that seperates the ‘normal’ world and The Fade ruptures, it is possible that demons cross over! Anaïs needs to get her and her friends out of the maze the Sloth Demon has created for them. She needs to battle the lesser demons that guard the Sloth Demon and finally finish him off!
Anaïs manages to fight her way through the maze, free her friends and defeat the Sloth Demon inside The Fade. But the Circle Tower is not free yet. It seems that Uldred has lured other mages into using blood magic and turned them into abominations. To truly free the tower the group must defeat Uldred. As they rush to the top floor of the Circle Tower they see that Uldred has captured First Enchanter Irving! Anaïs needs Irvin’s help and so she must rescue him.

After a gruesome battle Uldred is defeated and even though Uldred changed many mages into abominations Anaïs was able to keep Irvin from this terrible fate. Irvin reports to Greagoir and tells him the threat is over. The mages and Templar Knights are releaved. Irvin thinks it’s time someone else takes over the title of ‘First Enchanter’ and asks Wynne if she is willing. But instead of taking Irvin’s place and help with rebuilding The Circle Tower she tells Irvin she wants to accompany Anaïs on her quest.

Anaïs is very honoured to have a powerful mage as Wynne accompany her on her quest. Not only did Anaïs make a new friend, she also secured the support of both the mages as the Templar Knights in the upcoming battle against the Darkspawn!

Meanwhile in Denerim an old enemy still hunts the Grey Wardens. Loghain wants Anaïs and Alistair dead. His partner in crime Arl Rendon Howe seems to have found a solution in the form of a mysterious Antivan Crow. What threat will he pose for Anaïs and her friends?
