A TV for Christmas

Sony Bravia KDL26EX320

Last Thursday my job had it’s annual Christmas Breakfast event. It’s a tradition to celebrate it with great food, fiscal numbers, a goal for next year & loads of applause. The event ended with an amazing show by magician Hans Klok! My current job is quite notorious when it comes to Christmas Presents for their employees. Last year I got an iPad for Christmas. This year we were able to pick one out of five options. I decided to go for a Sony Bravia KDL26EX320 television!

I already own a Samsung 26″ LE26R32B HD Ready TV so at first I didn’t think another 26″ TV would be much of an improvement. But when I thought about the fact my current TV is already 4.5 years old, a red line of pixels sometimes appears, I own a PlayStation 3, and I could get a Sony Bravia model for free – I went for it ;) And woahhh, I definitely do not regret my decision. Even though both TV’s are HD Ready the Sony Bravia definitely is a big improvement compared to my older Samsung model.

What I really like is that the TV is not only nicely designed, but it’s also an internet TV which means it can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi and tap into various channels and apps such as YouTube and even Skype! I haven’t connected it to digital cable yet, but I am able to watch episodes of shows that aired on regular Dutch TV channels e.g. The Next Hair Guru on NET5 via the internet Video Option.

If you’ve read my earlier blogpost featuring my Bookshelf & Gaming Setup Tour you would know I have a very casual PC setup. With two screens I decided to combine my PC with my older Samsung TV and place it on my desk. Definitely feels better sitting behind a desk while working on my PC. I’ve connected my new Sony Bravia to my PlayStation 3 which is truly a match made in Heaven ♥
